Vitiligo Research Institute
of Shandong University is subordinate to Shandong University. It
was established in Sep, 1994 and now it has developed into a comprehensive
research institute, which is composed of scientific research, rudimentary
research, and clinical cure, making of machines and pharmaceutics.
The institute has 145 faculties and stuff, including 17 medium and
senior researchers, clinical doctors, experts, professors, 6 masters
and doctors and 122 workers. The research institute consists of
plant of electronic and clinical apparatuses, pharmaceutical plant,
clinical department,rudimentary department,and clinic.It is the
biggest vitiligo institute in China.

Plant
of electronic and clinical apparatuses:
PFJ-IA and PFJ-II type epidermis cell separating machines, invented
by professor Zhang Hong bing, were listed as “major developing item
of shandong province in 1994”. The machines had been appraised by
more than 10 universities such as Chinese Medical Science Institute,
the Second Medical University of Shanghai, Nanjing Medical University,
Shandong Medical University. The machines reached the first –class
in the world in 1990s and also took the first in china. It was highly
praised as a great break-through in vitiligo research.Now the main
products of the plant are :PFJ-IA type epidermis cell separating machine,PFJ-II
type epidermis cell
separating machine (patent No: ZL 95 2 33 955.2).PFJ-III type epidermis
cell separation machine (patent No: ZL 98 11 0061.9). Which is under
research at present .Long –wave ultraviolet curative lamp.
Pharmaceutical plant:
Together with the application of cell grafting, the administering
of medicines in full and local body, the plant has opened and manufactured
more than ten categories, total 5 series, of products such as new
type auxin of melanical cells capsules, tablets and external ointments.

Clinical department:
The emphasis of this department is teaching and training.
It also sponsors the seminars with others. It had successfully
presided over “ Chinese learning classes of vitiligo cure”
for five times. The medical workers all over the country,
including many universities, colleges and more than 300 hospitals,
had taken part in this study. And the department also successfully
sponsored “the first Chinese seminar of vitiligo cure “. Now
Vitiligo Research Institute of Shandong University. united
more than 10 provinces ,has established the center of vitiligo
cure and takes the lead in china.
Clinic department:
This department was established in 1995. It has received and
cured more than 20000 vitiligo patients from all over the
world including china, America, Singapore, Korea south and
so on.
